Welcome to the Math Faculty Computing Facility website. The Mathematics Faculty Computing Facility (MFCF) strives to enhance the productivity of the Faculty of Math community by providing professional, reliable and easily accessible information technology resources.

MFCF Online provides a focused single interface point to our customers, including students, faculty, staff and researchers within the Faculty of Mathematics. Our services range from providing and supporting the technology infrastructure through to account management, technical support and technical consulting services. We strive to ensure that all customers have access to appropriate levels of computing for their needs, in a timely manner.

Help Center

The MFCF Help Center is the primary contact for computer related problem reporting for Faculty, Staff and Students in the Math Faculty. We offer a variety of services, including:

• Answering user questions and helping to find solutions for computing problems
• Repairing and maintaining UW-Math owned technology equipment in offices, computer labs and technology classrooms
• Resetting forgotten passwords for Math and Computing Science computing accounts
• Referring your computing problem to appropriate third-party technical assistance if necessary

Reporting a problem

To report a problem you can drop by the MFCF office located at MC 3017 or call at 519.888.4567 x36323. The hours of operation of the Help Center are Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We can also be contacted by email at the following address; consultant@math.uwaterloo.ca You can also use the Work Tracking System to report a problem.Before creating a work request make sure your system or network is supported by MFCF and also please follow the guidelines outlined Here.
